Tom had one wish for their anniversary: to surprise Jan by taking her back to his home town of Soave, Italy. Through VR, he wanted her to feel like she was truly there again, walking through the same places where their story began.

Back to Soave

As the experience unfolded, Jan began recognising familiar views from Soave. Tom gently narrated each part of the journey, sharing the little details she remembered and the places that meant the most to both of them.

Under the grape vine

One scene was especially important: Tom's father Giovanni's house. Under the grape vine there, Tom had proposed to Jan. She said yes, and that memory became one of the defining moments of their life together.

An anniversary surprise

For Tom, this was more than a virtual tour. He planned it as an anniversary surprise for Jan, and he became very emotional watching her reaction as she saw the place where he proposed. It was a powerful reminder of how VR can reconnect people with the moments that matter most.
